Paula Guzzanti, MLitt by Research Trinity College Dublin, BA(Hons) International Relations (UCS Buenos Aires, Argentina), Higher National Diploma in Performing Arts (Dance) Belfast Metropolitan College.

My research interests include dance improvisation practice and theory, choreographic practice, collaborative creative processes, embodied theories of mind and affect studies.

My improvisational practice is influenced by direct training with choreographer/writer Miranda Tufnell, Rosalind Crisp and Lisa Nelson.

In my practice-as research PhD, I investigate the relationship between conscious awareness and affect in dance improvisation practice and performance, through interdisciplinary collaborative projects.

I am grateful to be supported artist of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and artist in resident at the Down Arts Centre. I am choreographer/performer member of Dance Ireland, and the Community Dance Foundation.
